Welcome to another Five Minutes Friday where Lisa-Jo of The Gypsy Mama provides a prompt for five minutes of UNEDITED writing and I practice overcoming my perfectionistic fear-of-failure as I write then post my unedited imperfect writing.

This week's prompt is New...

START.

In the book of Isaiah, the prophet tells God's people in the midst of exile that God is doing something new.  In the New Testament, Paul tells the new Jewish and Gentile believers that God has made each of them new in Christ.  The old has died and the new life in Christ is present in them.  Instead of dwelling in a temple, God has come to dwell within His people in their hearts.

Do I believe God is doing something new in my life today?  In the midst of the messiness of life?

Even though I feel at times like it is the "same old, same old."  The reality is that God is doing new things in my life.  This blog for one.

He is challenging old lies and replacing them with His truths and new thoughts about myself.  He doesn't look at me and wish I was someone else.  He looks at me and He is delighted with His new creation in Christ.  A new thought... struggling to take root in my heart.

Another new thought...He [is actively involved in my life. Actually, it is more of a reminder than a new thought.]
