Lisa-Jo graciously hosts Five Minute Fridays every Friday, and this will be the last one for 2012. Many many thanks to Lisa-Jo!
She picks the word guest of honor for a five minute flash mob of writing...unedited (some of us, ahem, correct our typos). Then we visit the person, who linked up before us.
This week's word is "Wonder."
START.
Here is a random list of things that fill me with wonder:
When I hear birds singing in the morning, and air fills my lungs.
When I see a teal-breasted hummingbird thrumming about our Mexican Sage's purple flowers, and I wonder how does it fly so fast, and still eat,
at the same time. If I did that, I'm sure I would throw-up, or make a very unladylike burp.
When he holds my hand, and I still feel a slight giddy happy and it has been 21 years since I walked down the aisle.
When I look at our girl, and I wonder how did she ever get so big....when she used to be so little, and I could burp her, and lay her on my chest...All of her.
Sigh! And when she wants to still talk to me, and spend time with me, I am filled with wonder, and I wonder how long this will last.
Then I remind myself to enjoy the moment, don't skip ahead, and lose the wonder of the moment. Just drink deep, and give thanks.
Enjoy.
When I think of how much God loves me, even when He knows how selfish I can be at times, I am filled with
Wonder, and
Gratitude at
it all.
STOP.
So what fills you with wonder, my friend? I am always filled with gratitude and wonder when I read your comments.
I am also filled with wonder and gratitude for my friends, in real life, and online through blogging.
Does anyone have ideas on having an informal #FMF writing party? Maybe, someone pick a word, then we all write, and tweet our link with the hastag #FMFParty and we find each other?
Just throwing out an idea for ONLY the first two Fridays of December....let me know....
*Dear Friend, Wishing you a wonder-filled weekend, where you can notice all the wonder around you, in nature, and in people made in God's image. May you know the wonder of His unconditional/nonperformance-based love and acceptance this weekend.
Please join the party at The Gypsy Mama by either linking up and/or reading other entries.
