Hey, it's Friday, and time for five minutes of no-holds barred writing led by the gracious Lisa-Jo. The guest of honor today is "CHANGE."
START.
Surface change is easy. Swap out a top for another. Change your toe nail polish. Easy.
But real soul change. Not so easy. But not impossible, because we have a God, who specializes in impossible.
I have been challenged recently in a blog comment when Debra asked me, "What are my impossible dreams?"
Hmm. I have been too afraid to really put them down to paper. I don't want to impose my dreams on God, and I want to be open to His dreams for my life.
But I wonder if I need to change, and be open that maybe His dreams for me are maybe a tad bit bigger than mine.
I was talking to God about it, then I saw a tweet by Christine Caine, where she talks about how if it is "impossible" then maybe it is God's realm. (Sorry, as I don't remember the exact quote.)
The point was if it seems possible to us, then maybe we are relying on ourselves, and not on God. If we are relying on God, then by definition, maybe it needs to seem "impossible" to us.
Sigh! I did not grow up in a family big on dreams, and certainly not on anything of mine. But I hear God whispering to me, and calling me to change.
Maybe to dream an impossible dream?
STOP.
Hmm...will be mulling this over.
I found the quote on Twitter:
@ChristineCaine
What changes are God calling you to? in your thoughts? actions?
It is always a joy to hear from you. Thank you!
