About my blog

Hi!  I am so glad that you stopped by to visit.

If we met in person, I would offer you a cup of tea or coffee, and ask you to tell me your story.  I love hearing another's life story.

If you want to e-mail me, I can be reached at soulstops (at) gmail (dot) com.

Currently, I'm on a journey to learn to follow Jesus without fear (which has been a struggle), and writing on this blog is one way I'm coming out of my comfort zone.

My aspiration is to learn to live fully into God's unconditional love and to love others the same way. I have a long way to go, but I must start somewhere.

I married my high-school sweetheart and best friend. We have walked through grad school, joblessness, infertility, postpartum depression, and several bad haircuts (had to throw in something light//smiles) together.

We are grateful for our answer-to-much-prayer daughter; she makes us laugh, ponder, and pray more. She loves to read, and to build tents with her friends.

Our dog Jubi was our "first child". We adopted him as a puppy from a local shelter. We said good-bye to Jubi in July, 2012.

My heart goes out to women who struggle with infertility, hurting children, and to people struggling to find their voice.

My other passions are praying, and teaching/encouraging others to delve deeper in their relationship with God.

My favorite things are conversing with God, spending time with family, and friends, reading anything true and encouraging, and appreciating God's artistic design displayed in nature.

Dark chocolate...need I say more.

I am thankful for my husband or BFH (Best Friend & Husband)’s love and support in this new endeavor.  He came up with the name “soul stops” for my site after we discussed what I wanted to write about on my blog.  I wanted to write content that would be a place where one could stop, read and leave, hopefully feeling that his/her soul was refreshed and encouraged.

This blog, like me, is very much in-process.  I don't have it all figured out yet in my life, or what I want my blog to become.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit my blog!  May You know how much God longs for relationship with you!

In His love,

Dolly

Full Disclosure:  I am an Amazon Affiliate so if you click on any book icon from my site and then buy the book, I get a very small royalty.  Thank you for supporting my writing with your purchases.  As of 11/15/11, I have made zero from being an affiliate as Amazon doesn't pay until you reach at least a $10 royalty check.  Thanks to Michael Hyatt's article at http://michaelhyatt.com/five-ways-to-comply-with-the-new-ftc-guidelines-for-bloggers.html (not a live link yet on my blog), but I did want to give him credit for alerting me to the new guidelines.
